This hand-thrown tea plate from Muchelney Pottery is a quietly elegant piece for everyday use. Just the right size for a slice of buttered toast, a generous sandwich or a piece of cake, it’s also a practical side plate — perfect for bread, dinner parties, or simply completing a well-laid table.
At approximately 2cm high by 17cm wide, it’s a versatile companion for any meal. From breakfast spreads to shared suppers, it brings warmth and handmade charm to your setting. Pair it with a mug for a simple tea break, or with larger bowls and platters as part of a full table arrangement.
Each plate is individually hand-thrown and woodfired in our Somerset kiln. The unpredictable path of the flame creates subtle variations in the surface of the pot — no two plates are alike, and each bears the quiet signature of fire and craft.
Dishwasher safe and glazed with lead-free materials, our pottery can be used in both conventional and microwave ovens (though not on the hob). It’s a piece made for real life — beautiful, durable, and grounded in tradition.
