The Muchelney Pottery spoon rest is a small but essential piece of the well-considered kitchen. Hand-thrown and woodfired in Somerset, it offers a simple resting place for your wooden spoon, ladle, or spatula — keeping worktops clean and cooking surfaces clutter-free.
Measuring approximately 2cm high by 14cm wide, it’s perfectly proportioned for everyday use, and sits neatly beside the hob, or just as easily on the warm plate of an Aga, ready for the next stir or taste. Whether you’re simmering a sauce or slow-cooking supper, it quietly serves its purpose — offering beauty in function.
Each spoon rest is individually crafted and fired in our traditional wood kiln. The flame naturally leaves its mark, making every piece unique in tone and texture — no two are ever quite the same! These are small details that speak of something deeper: craft, care, and a slower way of making.
Dishwasher safe and glazed using only lead-free materials. A simple object, made well — and made to last.
