This small mug from Muchelney Pottery — affectionately known as our half-pint mug — is designed for those who like their tea or coffee served with a little more generosity. With its rounded form and comforting weight, it keeps drinks warmer for longer and feels just right in the hand.
Measuring approximately 8.5cm high by 8cm wide, and holding 0.3 litres, it’s ideal for a fresh morning brew, an afternoon tea, or a warming cup of something stronger as the day draws in. The handle is balanced and tactile, shaped with care for daily comfort.
Each mug is hand-thrown in our Somerset pottery and woodfired in the traditional kiln. The natural movement of flame creates gentle variations in glaze and finish, meaning every mug has its own individuality — a unique piece that carries the spirit of the kiln and the touch of the maker.
Dishwasher safe and made with lead-free glaze, this mug is also suitable for microwave and conventional oven use (though not for the hob). It’s a small pleasure, made to last — and made to be used, day after day.
