This medium squat casserole from Muchelney Pottery is the perfect size for two. With a capacity of approximately 1.5 litres, it’s ideal for preparing slow-cooked stews, curries or casseroles. Leave it gently simmering in the oven while you’re at work, and come home to a warming home-cooked meal. Measuring roughly 11cm high by 15.5cm wide, it’s designed for both practicality and presence on the table.
Each casserole is hand-thrown and woodfired in our traditional kiln here in Somerset. The flames of the kiln lend every pot its own distinct finish — a softly unpredictable beauty that no two pots will ever share. This is a piece made not just to cook in, but to live with.
Muchelney kitchen pots are suitable for use in conventional and microwave ovens, but not for hob-top cooking. They are dishwasher safe, and all our glazes are lead-free.
