This large storage jar from Muchelney Pottery brings beauty and function together in the heart of the kitchen. Hand-thrown and woodfired in Somerset, it’s the perfect way to store dry goods such as pasta shapes, rice, flour, oats, or lentils — everyday ingredients, stored with intention.
Measuring approximately 19cm high by 15cm wide, it holds a generous quantity and features a well-fitting lid to help keep contents fresh. Its rounded form and unglazed, toasted exterior bring warmth and texture to your shelves or worktop — proving that even the most practical storage can be beautiful.
Each jar is individually made and fired in our traditional wood kiln. The unpredictable path of the flame leaves gentle variations in tone and surface, giving every piece a unique finish. No two jars are quite the same — each one shaped by the fire, the potter, and the Somerset earth.
Dishwasher safe and made with lead-free glaze, this storage jar is both useful and enduring — ideal on its own, or as part of a collection with our smaller jars to create a cohesive, crafted pantry.
