Small in Size, Full of Character
This cream jug from Muchelney Pottery may be small, but it’s full of charm. Hand-thrown and woodfired in Somerset, it’s just the right size for serving cream with coffee, milk for tea, or even a drizzle of warm sauce with dessert.
Measuring approximately 9cm high by 7cm wide, with a capacity of 0.25 litres, it’s a lovely companion to our hand-thrown mugs — perfect for morning rituals, afternoon breaks or when laying the table with quiet intention. The shape fits comfortably in the hand, with a clean pour and a rustic, tactile finish.
Each jug is individually thrown on the wheel and fired in our traditional wood kiln, where the flames leave soft, natural variations across the surface. No two jugs are ever quite the same, making each one a unique expression of craft and fire.
Dishwasher safe and made with lead-free glazes, this jug can be used in conventional and microwave ovens (but not on the hob). Whether used every day or brought out for weekend breakfasts, it’s a small piece that brings beauty and care to the table.
